Noon-5 p.m.

The first-ever Hopkins Open Streets Event is an opportunity to celebrate the things we love about Hopkins and discover new things we never knew were here. Mainstreet will be temporarily closed to motorized traffic between 7th and 13th Avenues, and the festivities will continue through Central Park to the Fire Station.

The area will be opened up for people to walk, bike, skate and play. Residents will be able to move at their own speed as they enjoy arts and crafts activities, games, live performances, dance demonstrations, community yoga, food, drinks and more.

Activites include:

  • Custom manhole cover t-shirts/tote bags: Bring a t-shirt or tote bag, or buy one of ours and get a relief print of a Hopkins custom manhole cover
  • LTD Beer tent
  • Cupcake races (Amy’s Cupcakes)
  • Puppy rescue/adoption
  • Dance demonstrations (Costa Rican Ballroom)
  • Yoga class in the street (Good Vibrations Yoga)
  • Fire Station Open House
  • Local food
  • Sidewalk sales
  • Games/activities at Clock Tower Plaza
  • Open mic at the Hopkins Center for the Arts
