Every year on March 17, the World's Shortest St. Patrick's Day Parade briefly takes place in downtown Hopkins.

The parade, which is open to anyone, traditionally begins at 4:30 p.m. and travels the four blocks between the Elks Lodge, on 8th Ave. S., and the American Legion on 12th Ave. S. Every other year the Parade begins at the American Legion and ends at the Elks Club.
