Brush & Yard Waste Drop-Off Site

3100 Hopkins Crossroads
From April through November, Hopkins refuse customers can drop off their brush and yard waste at the free drop-off site.

Yard Waste Drop off site, located off 73 The drop-off site will be open for the season Saturday, April 1.

The drop off site is located at 3100 Hopkins Crossroads. The site is located approximately one block north of the Hopkins Crossroad & Minnetonka Blvd intersection..

  • Mondays, 2–7 p.m.
  • Wednesdays, 2–7 p.m.
  • Saturdays, 9 a.m.–3 p.m.

The site is closed Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day and Veterans Day.


Free for Hopkins refuse customers in the City service area. You will need a valid driver's license, MN ID or current paid utility bill to prove your Hopkins residency.

Residents will need to unload and debag their materials at the site, and take used bags home with them.

Accepted items

  • Tree limbs
  • Twigs, branches and woody vines up to 6" in diameter and 15' long
  • Leaves with twig stems not longer than 4"
  • Grass clippings
  • Similar garden waste
  • Soft, pliable vines (yard waste).

Not accepted items

  • Sod Waste
  • Animal Feces
  • Garden Products
  • Logs or lumber
  • Dirt
  • Stump grindings
  • Material from contractors or commercial firms.
