The Hopkins Housing and Redevelopment Authority provides rental apartments for low income persons and families. Dow Towers, a subsidized high-rise located at 22 5th Ave S, has 76 one-bedroom apartments.

The Hopkins Housing and Redevelopment Authority accepted applications for its one-bedroom Public Housing waiting list from December 8-12, 2014.  

The HRA then conducted a lottery of all eligible applications for 350 positions available on the Public Housing waiting list.

If you applied online during the open period, you can go to and use your date of birth and Social Security number to log into the site. Once logged in you will see the list you applied to and your status.

If your application was selected it will indicate an ACTIVE application. If your application was not selected it will state inactive. The estimated waiting time could actually be shorter or longer depending on when current residents move out.
