City Marking Water Service Lines With Paint, Flags

In the upcoming weeks throughout the spring and into the summer months, crews will be marking water service lines with blue paint and flags for many properties throughout Hopkins. These water service lines are being marked so that the City can collect the locations with a GPS device to update the City’s records. These paint marks and flags will typically be in the front yard near the City street or sidewalk. If you see a blue flag at your property, please leave it in place until a surveyor locates the water service line, at which time the flag will be removed. Contact Utilities Superintendent Sean Moilanen at 952-548-6353 with questions.
