National Night Out is August 6

Celebrate the 41st annual National Night Out on Tuesday, August 6. From 5:30–9 p.m., neighborhoods throughout Hopkins will be hosting special events. No time to organize and no party happening on your block? No worries! Attend the National Night Out Kick-Off Celebration at Valley Park at 5 p.m. with the Hopkins Police and Fire Departments, and a special kick-off message from City of Hopkins Mayor Patrick Hanlon and Police Chief Brent Johnson. Plus a free food truck, giveaways and lots of family fun! Find more information about National Night Out.


Fall Recreation Registration Begins August 6

Registration for general fall recreation programs begins Tuesday, August 6, at 8 a.m., with registration for senior programs beginning Thursday, August 8, at 8 a.m., and ice skating registration beginning at 8 a.m. on Tuesday, August 20. Visit minnetonkamn.gov/register to browse the program options and choose from hundreds of activities, including kids’ programs, tennis lessons, craft opportunities and athletic leagues. Register online at minnetonkamn.gov/register or call between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to noon on Friday, at 952-939-8203 (general programs), 952-939-8393 (senior programs), 952-939-8310 (ice skating).


Sunset Series Power of 10 Concert is August 8

The Sunset Series continues Thursday, August 8, with R&B group Power of 10 at 7 p.m. in Downtown Park. All Sunset Series concerts are free and open to the public. Find more information about The Sunset Series, including the summer series' line-up, on the Hopkins Center for the Arts website. 


Budget Information Session is August 12

Save the date for the City's 2025 Budget Information Session on Monday, August 12, from 5 to 6 p.m., at Hopkins City Hall. The session will include a short presentation and time for questions. Find more information about the City's budget process.


Energy and Water Efficiency Rebate Applications Open

The City of Hopkins is accepting rebate applications for two programs. The Hopkins Climate Solutions Fund offers incentives for residential, business, and commercial projects to accelerate our transition to cleaner and more efficient energy. The Water Efficiency Rebate program offers rebates to improve water efficiency when an existing product is replaced with an eligible WaterSense or Energy Smart certified product. This program is offered in partnership with the Metropolitan Council and the Clean Water, Land and Legacy Amendment. Learn more about the two programs and apply online.
