Homestead Applications Due December 31

Have you recently purchased a home in Hopkins? New property owners in Hennepin County have until December 31 to complete a homestead application for 2025. Eligible applicants must have moved into their home on or before December 1, 2024. Hennepin County offers an online filing application. Rate Increases Take Effect January 1

In order to cover current operating costs and adequately fund capital projects, the City Council adopted rate increases for water, sanitary sewer, refuse, recycling and organics recycling. The new refuse, recycling and organic recycling rates will first appear on the utility bills received in January. Water and sanitary sewer rates will first appear on the bill received in February.
