World's Shortest St. Patrick's Day Parade is March 17

Join the community for the annual World's Shortest St. Patrick's Day Parade on Monday, March 17, beginning at 4 p.m. at the Hopkins Elks Lodge, 30 8th Avenue S (parade line up begins at 3:45 p.m.). The parade, which is free and open to anyone, will travel four blocks down Mainstreet between the Hopkins Elks Lodge and the American Legion.


Deadline to Apply for Hopkins Academy is March 24

Join us for Hopkins Academy! This is a free opportunity to go behind the scenes of City departments across Hopkins and learn more about how your community works. This four-session course will give you an in-depth look into City departments and programs. Hopkins Academy is designed to be interactive, as well as fun and informative. To be eligible, you must reside and/or work in Hopkins, and must not have attended the academy in previous years. Find more information and apply online.


Applications Open for Public Art Advisory Committee

The Hopkins Public Art Advisory Committee is comprised of residents, business owners, and City staff who are practicing artists, art professionals, and those interested in public art. The committee advises the City on public art programs and projects, such as the Hopkins mural program. Individuals who live or work in Hopkins who have an interest in art, are practicing artists, and business owners enthusiastic about public art are encouraged to apply. Learn more and apply online.
