Last Week of Free Brush Pick-Up is April 14-17

The final week the City will be picking up brush free of charge for residential garbage customers is April 14-17 on the same day as your garbage day. No call-in is required for the free pick-up. Find more information about brush pick-up. 

Metro HRA Section 8 Housing Waiting List Open 
Through April 16

The Metropolitan Council is taking applications for its Housing Choice Voucher (Section 8) waiting list through noon on April 16. The Met Council’s housing and redevelopment authority, Metro HRA, will host a lottery on May 1 to randomly select eligible applicants for the waiting list. Learn more and apply.

Free Yard Waste Pick-Up is April 21-May 1

Yard waste will be collected for free on your regular garbage day from April 21-May 1. You do not need to call to schedule this pickup. Place bagged yard waste at your normal refuse collection site at least four feet away from your refuse and recycling containers. After May 1, bags will be collected on Thursdays and must display yard waste stickers, available for purchase at City Hall or Public Works. Spring Bulk Item Drop-Off is April 25-26

The City is holding its annual spring bulk item drop-off event on Friday, April 25, from 3 to 7 p.m., and Saturday, April 26, from 9 a.m. to noon. For a $40 fee plus taxes, you can drop off one appliance and up to three cubic yards worth of trash (the equivalent of one pick-up truckload). Shred-N-Go will also be on-site for confidential destruction of documents. Payment will be processed by card at the event. Find more information about the drop-off event.
