Hopkins Farmers Market Opens for Season June 14

The Hopkins Farmers Market opens for the season on Saturday, June 14. The market, located at 16 9th Avenue S, offers fresh produce and farmstead products, handcrafted items, on-site foods and live music, and is open Saturdays from 7:30 a.m. to noon. Find more information about the Hopkins Farmers Market.


Hopkins Activity Center Open House is June 17

Whether you are an adult who is familiar with senior programming at the Hopkins Activity Center, new to the area, or simply curious, adults ages 55+ are invited to stop by for a visit to see the center's exciting summer program offerings and tour the building on Tuesday, June 17, from 10 am to noon. Bring a friend and stop in to enjoy a tasty treat, meet with volunteers and group leaders, sample activities (including Pickleball!), visit with spotlight artist Nan Foker, or tour the facility and pick-up rental information. During the Open House, take advantage of membership savings including a $5 credit voucher for new members or a $5 credit to current members for new member referrals. No registration needed to attend. We also welcome you to stop by the Activity Center any time during open program hours Monday through Thursday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., for a personal tour. City Offices Closed June 19 - Thursday Collection 
Delayed One Day 

A heads up for Hopkins residential garbage customers: The collection schedule for June 19 will be adjusted due to the Juneteenth holiday.

  • Monday, June 16: Pick-up for Monday routes as normal
  • Tuesday, June 17: Pick-up for Tuesday routes as normal
  • Wednesday, June 18: Pick-up for Wednesday routes as normal
  • Thursday, June 19: City offices closed, no garbage or organics collection
  • Friday, June 20: Pick-up for Thursday routes

Next Sunset Series Concert is June 26

The Sunset Series continues Thursday, June 26, with jazz guitarist Zacc Harris' American Reverie at 7 p.m. in Downtown Park. All Sunset Series concerts are free and open to the public.
