A state rebate is available for new and used electric vehicles. 

Charging stations

The City of Hopkins has installed electric vehicle charging stations in the municipal parking garage and Lot 500, located adjacent to Driskill’s Downtown Market, where users can pay to charge their vehicles.

Charging at home

Level 1 charging: An electric vehicle can be charged using a typical 120-volt outlet. No extra equipment or installation is required.

Level 2 charging: Xcel Energy offers in-home charger installation resources and charging pricing plans

If installing Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE) at home, the City requires you to complete an Electrical Permit.
