A ribbon cutting is a fun and simple way to announce your presence to the Hopkins business and greater community. In partnership with the Hopkins Business & Civic Association (HBCA), we help you celebrate your grand opening, expansion, relocation or milestone. Ribbon cuttings are offered once per business within a 5-year timeframe.
How to Schedule
- Ribbon Cutting ceremonies typically occur during business hours or early evenings
- Select 1 to 2 date/time options that work for your business
- Contact Community Development Manager Revée Needham with your preferred times, with at least two weeks' advance notice.
What to Expect
- The ceremony is a free service provided by the City in partnership with the HBCA
- City staff will send invitations to the Mayor and City Council, HBCA President, and the local Sun Sailor reporter
- City staff will attend and provide ribbon, large scissors, and a photographer
- After the event, the City will post the photograph on social media
